Knee Pain Treatment in Stuart & Port St. Lucie, FL
Your knee painshould not run your day.
Knee pain treatment here starts with working out which structure is actually complaining, then treating that tissue directly. We pair SoftWave regenerative therapy, Class IV laser, and targeted rehab to support repair in the tissue and rebuild the mechanics loading the joint. In most cases patients feel a difference on the very first visit.
You just want to take the stairs again
The real cost of knee pain is what you stop doing.
The stairs you now take one at a time. The garden bed you kneel at for two minutes instead of twenty. The pickleball ladder you quietly dropped off. Knee pain does not usually arrive all at once. It negotiates, taking one activity at a time, until the list of things you skip is longer than the list you do.
Bracing it and waiting it out can settle a flare. It rarely changes what is loading the joint. We take the other route: find the tissue that is failing to keep up, then treat it directly.

First, the reassuring part
Most knee pain can improve with the right treatment.
The large majority of knee pain comes from soft tissue and load rather than anything sinister: a tendon that has been overworked, a joint surface carrying more pressure than it should, cartilage that is irritated, or hip and ankle mechanics quietly making the knee do their job. Tissue like that has a real capacity to respond when you support repair and fix the loading, which is why we lead with a careful exam.
Some knee problems need medical attention first. We would rather you know the signs than wonder.
When to seek urgent care first
- A knee that locks and will not straighten
- A hot, visibly swollen joint with fever or feeling unwell
- Obvious deformity, or a knee that gave way after a serious injury
- Inability to put weight on the leg at all
- Calf swelling, redness, or warmth behind the knee
- Pain with unexplained weight loss
If any of these are happening, contact a medical provider or emergency care right away. When you are ready for knee pain that is not an emergency, we are here.
WE GET WHAT YOU'RE GOING THROUGH
Which knee pain is yours?
"My knee hurts" can trace back to several different structures, and the right approach depends on which one. You do not need to diagnose yourself. Seeing which of these patterns sounds like you is a good start, and it is exactly what your exam will confirm.
"Just below the kneecap, since I ramped up."
Often: the tendon has taken on more work than it was ready for. Tendon pain is stubborn but it is also one of the most responsive things we treat.
What we'd likely reach for: SoftWave on the tendon, with progressive loading so it comes back stronger.
"It swells after I play, and sometimes catches."
"Inside of the knee. Aches with mileage and weather."
Often: the joint has some wear and the soft tissue around it is inflamed and guarding. We address the soft-tissue pain and stiffness the joint changes are causing, which is usually what you actually feel.
"Front of the knee. Stairs and standing up are worst."
Often: the kneecap is not tracking or loading well, so the joint surface behind it takes more pressure than it should. Sitting a while then standing is the classic tell.
What we'd likely reach for: Class IV laser to calm the joint, with corrective exercise to change how the knee is loaded.

Not sure which one is you?
That is exactly what the first visit is for. No pressure, no commitment beyond finding out what is going on.
Regenerative care treatments
Pro athletes have had this level of knee care for years. Now you do too.

SoftWave Therapy
Regenerative sound-wave therapy that prompts your body's own repair response in stalled soft tissue. Non-invasive, no injections, about five minutes, and a leading choice for knees.

Class IV Laser Therapy
Deep-tissue laser that helps calm inflammation in and around the joint and improve blood flow to the area, which supports recovery between visits.

Corrective Exercise & Rehab
A custom, diagnosis-specific home program with video that rebuilds the strength and control the knee depends on, so relief has a reason to last.

Chiropractic Care
Precise, goal-based adjustments that restore movement where the hip, knee, and ankle are not sharing load well. Not a generic "rack and crack."

Massage & Soft Tissue
Soft-tissue therapy that releases the tight, guarded muscle around a sore knee so the rest of the plan can do its work.

Why patients choose us for knees
We treat more than the knee itself.
Knees are one of the areas this practice focuses on most, and they are rarely a single-structure problem. Instead of sending you between a chiropractor, a massage therapist, and a physical therapist who never compare notes, we combine what your knee actually needs in one place and adjust as it improves.
Care led by a SoftWave trainer
Dr. Kianoosh Ziayan, DC ("Dr. Z") is an internationally certified SoftWave trainer who teaches other doctors how to use it. The protocols he teaches are the ones our team delivers.
Built around a busy calendar
Visits run around ten minutes, most patients wait under five, and we hold same-week openings at both offices. Getting this sorted out should not cost you your week.
Honest about your plan
You get transparent pricing on day one and an honest read on what to expect. It is healthcare, so nothing is promised. We tell you what we see and adjust the plan as you improve.
Most knees are a mix of these, not just one, and the hip and ankle are often part of the story. That is the point of the exam: we sort out which structures are driving your pain and build the plan around the real cause.
What to expect
9 in 10 patients notice an improvement at the first visit.
You are never guessing what comes next. Here is how your knee plan takes shape.

We learn your goal
A case manager sits with you to understand what the knee is stopping you from doing, whether that is pickleball, eighteen holes, the garden, or the stairs at home.

The doctor examines you
A thorough orthopedic exam tests the joint, the tendons, and how your hip and ankle are behaving, so your plan targets the structure that is actually complaining.

You start the same day
Where it is appropriate, treatment begins on visit one, so you leave having already started rather than holding a referral.

We build the plan, then keep tuning it
You get a clear plan and a home-exercise program about two weeks in, plus regular check-ins so we progress your loading as the knee tolerates more.

Common questions
Have questions? We have answers.
We do not treat the arthritis itself, and nothing we do reverses joint changes. What we address is the soft-tissue pain, inflammation, and stiffness those changes cause, which is usually what actually limits your day. Many patients with wear in the joint get meaningful relief and move better, and your doctor will be straight with you about what is realistic in your case.
That is a decision between you and your orthopedic provider, and we do not position our care as a substitute for it. What we can do is give conservative care a proper run and treat the tissue that is currently painful. Some patients find that is enough for a good while, and we will tell you honestly if we do not think we can move the needle for you.
A cortisone injection works by suppressing inflammation, which can be helpful but does not change the tissue or the loading. SoftWave and laser aim at supporting the tissue and settling inflammation without needles, and the rehab addresses why the knee was overloaded. They are different tools, and we are happy to talk through where each fits.
Most patients describe it as a firm tapping sensation, and sore areas can feel tender for a moment as we pass over them. It takes about five minutes, needs no numbing, and you walk out and get on with your day. If anything is uncomfortable, your provider adjusts the settings on the spot.
It depends on which structure is involved and how long it has been going on. Tendon problems and irritated joints often respond within a few weeks, while longer-standing cases take more. You will get an honest estimate at your exam, and we modify the plan as you improve rather than holding you to a fixed number.
